Drug Addiction Therapy
Medically supervised inpatient therapy for drug addiction provided in a confidential, controlled clinical environment.
Treatment is based on an individual medical, psychiatric, and therapeutic assessment, with emphasis on safety, stabilization, and long term recovery planning.

Therapy as a stage of treatment
Drug addiction therapy is a stage of care that follows medical stabilization and, when clinically indicated, drug detoxification.
Therapy does not replace safe substance withdrawal management or medical care during the acute phase of withdrawal. It is, however, a key component of comprehensive addiction treatment delivered in an inpatient setting and tailored to the patient’s individual clinical status.

Medically supervised inpatient therapy for drug addiction
Drug addiction is a chronic condition with medical and psychological components that affects neurobiological functioning, emotional regulation, and behavior. Effective treatment requires a structured therapeutic process supported by medical, psychiatric, and psychotherapeutic care.
At Zeus Detox & Rehab, drug addiction therapy is delivered within an inpatient model under continuous clinical oversight. The treatment process focuses on stabilization, deeper insight into addiction mechanisms, and planning of further care and relapse prevention.
When urgent medical help is needed
Urgent medical help is required if, during substance withdrawal, seizures occur, consciousness is lost, severe disorientation develops, psychotic symptoms appear, aggressive behavior occurs that is not appropriate to the situation, intense chest pain is present, shortness of breath occurs, or overdose is suspected. In such situations, self treatment attempts should be avoided. The priority is patient safety and prompt clinical assessment. In life threatening situations, emergency medical help should be contacted immediately by calling 112 or the local emergency number.

Individualized therapeutic approach
Therapy begins with a comprehensive clinical assessment focused on understanding the individual context of substance use rather than symptoms alone.
During initial clinical qualification, the therapeutic team reviews, among others:
type of psychoactive substances used and duration of use
severity of addiction and relapse risk
physical and mental health status
methods of emotional regulation and coping with stress
family and social situation
previous therapeutic experiences and outcomes
Based on this assessment, an individualized therapy plan is developed, aligned with real clinical needs and the patient’s recovery goals.
Interdisciplinary medical and therapeutic care
Drug addiction therapy is delivered by an interdisciplinary team including physicians, psychiatrists, and certified psychotherapists experienced in addiction treatment.
During treatment, patients receive:
continuous medical oversight
psychiatric care when co occurring conditions are present
structured individual psychotherapy
The therapeutic process focuses on modifying maladaptive thinking patterns, emotional responses, and behaviors that maintain substance use and increase relapse risk.
Psychiatry and psychotherapy
Psychiatric oversight
Patients remain under continuous psychiatric care throughout treatment. Pharmacotherapy, when clinically indicated, is individually selected, monitored, and adjusted to support psychological stabilization.
Psychotherapeutic support
Individual psychotherapy focuses on developing insight, emotional regulation, building coping strategies, and planning long term recovery. Sessions are delivered in a safe, structured, and non stigmatizing environment.
Medical oversight and health assessment
Comprehensive medical care
The treating physician and nursing team monitor the patient’s physical health throughout treatment. When needed, laboratory diagnostics and assessment of substance related health complications are performed.
Assessment of addiction severity
Treatment duration and structure are determined based on addiction severity, overall health status, and clinical progress. The treatment plan is continuously reviewed and adjusted.
Holistic therapeutic model
Therapy is delivered within a holistic model addressing psychological, physical, and emotional aspects of recovery.
When clinically justified, therapy may be supplemented with:
mindfulness and stress regulation techniques
movement based therapy and breathing exercises
relaxation procedures
acupuncture
vitamin and infusion support when medically indicated
These elements are supportive and do not replace core clinical treatment.
Confidential inpatient treatment environment
Treatment is delivered in a private inpatient environment designed to reduce stressors and support the therapeutic process.
The treatment environment provides:
full confidentiality and discretion
individualized clinical care
a structured and safe daily routine
staff focused on patient dignity and safety
Recovery is treated as a gradual restoration of stability, balance, and functioning.
What happens after inpatient therapy
Completion of inpatient therapy does not mean the end of treatment. The clinical team prepares individualized recommendations for continued therapy, outpatient support, and relapse prevention, aligned with the patient’s health status and treatment course. The goal is to maintain stability, reduce relapse risk, and support a safe transition to the next stage of recovery after discharge.
